On Wednesday, 17 January 2018, in the afternoon at 16:35, in Vilnius, on Sodų street near No. 6, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz O 405 and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
