On Wednesday, 17 January 2018, in the evening at 17:32, in Ignalinos district municipality, on Taikos street near No. 11, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 313, a Volkswagen Passat and a Citroen Xsara Picasso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He evaded sobriety testing and fled the scene.
