On Tuesday, 6 February 2018, in the evening at around 20:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Gudelių village, on the Leipalingis–Lazdijai–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 19.80), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz 208D (47 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
