On Friday, 9 February 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 284, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Primastar and a BMW X3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Nissan (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
