On Friday, 9 February 2018, in the afternoon at 15:10, in Kaunas, on S. Žukausko street, at the junction with Statybininkų street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane and a Skoda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Renault (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
