Unlicensed Opel driver flees after hitting a pedestrian at a crossing on Gedimino pr., Vilnius
On Monday, 12 February 2018, in the afternoon at 11:36, in Vilnius, on Gedimino pr. near No. 35, an Opel Zafira hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 58-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
