On Monday, 12 February 2018, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Dubysos street, a Volkswagen Touran hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (24 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She fled the scene. The driver was sober.
