On Saturday, 24 February 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kretingos district municipality, Klibių village, on Salantų street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 914, a Peugeot 407 and an Iveco 130E15. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (23 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
