On Monday, 26 February 2018, in the afternoon at 12:25, in Kaunas, on Chemijos street, at the junction with Pramonės pr., a Skoda Octavia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 36-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 62-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Skoda (29 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
