On Wednesday, 28 February 2018, in the evening at 22:10, in Vilnius, on Salininkų street near No. 137, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Audi (17 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.11‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
