On Saturday, 3 March 2018, in the afternoon at 13:40, in Šiauliai, on K. Kalinausko street near No. 47A, a BMW 316 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.27‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
