On Monday, 12 March 2018, in the morning at 7:26, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 30.80), a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 CDI registered in Ukraine ran off the road. One person was injured — a 40-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
