On Monday, 2 April 2018, in the afternoon at 15:47, in Vilnius, on Vakarinis aplinkkelis street, at the junction with Oslo street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Volvo S80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.20‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
