On Sunday, 8 April 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 31.97), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
