On Friday, 13 April 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Varėnos district municipality, on Voronecko street near No. 4, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
