On Tuesday, 17 April 2018, in the evening at 17:30, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Pandėlys–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 5.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz E 220 CDI (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk and fled the scene.
