On Monday, 23 April 2018, in the afternoon at 13:33, in Plungės district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 100.53), a Scania R 420LA registered in Belarus ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Scania (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection.
