On Monday, 7 May 2018, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr., at the junction with Rietavo street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and an Opel Meriva. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Ford (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
