On Saturday, 12 May 2018, in the evening at 22:32, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Užventis–Tryškiai–Viekšniai national road (kilometre 51), a Chrysler rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Chrysler, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.82‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
