On Friday, 18 May 2018, in the evening at 20:24, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 203.24), an Audi A6 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Audi (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.30‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
