On Saturday, 19 May 2018, in the morning at 8:20, in Panevėžys, on Vilties street near No. 26, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Corsa and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
