On Saturday, 19 May 2018, in the morning at 8:44, in Panevėžys, on Vilties street near No. 5, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Corsa and a Renault Laguna. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.81‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
