On Monday, 21 May 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Zarasų district municipality, Bernotiškių village, on the Vilnius-Švenčionys-Zarasai national road (kilometre 160.13), a Seat Altea XL ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Seat (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
