On Wednesday, 23 May 2018, in the evening at 18:40, in Kaunas, on Vaidoto street near No. 34, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323 and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Mazda, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
