On Wednesday, 30 May 2018, in the afternoon at 15:17, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Tytuvėnai–Radviliškis national road (kilometre 7), a head-on collision while overtaking occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 WW. Audi S4, a Volkswagen Caddy Life and a Volvo S60. One person died — the 26-year-old driver of the Audi. Three people were injured — a 25-year-old passenger of the Volvo (hospitalized), the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (hospitalized) and the 27-year-old driver of the Volvo (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
