On Wednesday, 30 May 2018, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street, at the junction with H. ir O. Minkovskių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Palio and a Volkswagen Touran. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Fiat (31 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
