On Thursday, 31 May 2018, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on Žiedų street near No. 9, at the junction with Povų street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Harley Davidson XL 1200 C and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Harley Davidson (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
