On Sunday, 3 June 2018, in the evening at 20:50, in Trakų district municipality, on Mokyklos street near No. 31, an Opel hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 40-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel (19 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
