On Friday, 18 May 2018, in the morning at around 8:00, in Joniškio district municipality, on Medžiotojų street, at the junction with Livonijos street, a Nissan Juke hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 13-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Nissan (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
