On Saturday, 23 June 2018, in the morning at 10:40, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Papilės street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant, a Nissan X-Trail and a Peugeot 307. Two people were injured — a 66-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient) and a 9-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi (6 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober.
