On Saturday, 23 June 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on Rotušės a. near No. 16, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A 170 CDI and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (5 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
