On Monday, 25 June 2018, in the evening at 20:21, in Mažeikių district municipality, Tirkšlių town, on J. Tumo-Vaižganto street, at the junction with Viekšnių street, an Opel Vectra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
