On Monday, 2 July 2018, in the morning at around 9:00, in Vilnius, on Rinktinės street, at the junction with Apkasų street, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 49-year-old cyclist (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Citroen (50 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
