Drunk Audi driver runs off the road on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia road
On Friday, 13 July 2018, at night at 0:10, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 14.40), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.87‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
