On Friday, 20 July 2018, in the afternoon at 15:46, in Vilnius, on Geležinio Vilko street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 316I and a Toyota Corolla. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
