On Monday, 23 July 2018, in the morning at 8:15, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė national road (kilometre 5), a BMW 320D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the BMW (12 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
