On Thursday, 26 July 2018, in the morning at around 6:00, in Kaunas, on Molėtų street near No. 57, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S70, a Nissan and a Ford S-MAX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volvo (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
