On Thursday, 26 July 2018, in the evening at 20:53, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 14.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Honda registered in Great Britain and an Audi Q5. One person was injured — a 10-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
