On Thursday, 2 August 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Raseinių district municipality, Mankūnų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 161.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a BMW 535 D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Opel (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
