On Thursday, 16 August 2018, in the evening at 19:35, in Utenos district municipality, on Palangos street, at the junction with M. K. Čiurlionio street, a Citroen Evasion ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Citroen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (4.01‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
