On Monday, 20 August 2018, in the afternoon at 13:28, in Klaipėda, on H. Manto street near No. 4, a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a Toyota Auris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.52‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
