On Tuesday, 21 August 2018, in the morning at 10:18, in Vilnius, on Eigulių street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Saab 9-3 and a Renault Espace. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Saab (57 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
