On Saturday, 25 August 2018, in the afternoon at 11:56, in Širvintų district municipality, on J. Janonio street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Octavia Combi and an Opel. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 70-year-old driver of the Skoda (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.88‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
