On Sunday, 26 August 2018, in the evening at 19:33, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Nemakščiai–Kražiai–Junkilai regional road (kilometre 12.37), an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
