On Friday, 31 August 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 285.90), a Renault Megane hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Renault (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
