On Saturday, 1 September 2018, in the morning at 5:55, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Joniškis–Žeimelis–Pasvalys national road (kilometre 57.12), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.45‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
