On Tuesday, 4 September 2018, in the evening at 22:48, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Daugėlių street near No. 49, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Sharan and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene.
