On Friday, 7 September 2018, in the afternoon at 16:50, in Kaunas, on Sniegenų street near No. 8, at the junction with Žilvičių street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Piaggio NRG 50 and an Audi A5. Two people were injured — a 16-year-old passenger of the Piaggio (hospitalized) and a 6-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 15-year-old driver of the Piaggio (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
