On Monday, 10 September 2018, in the morning at 10:33, in Vilnius, on Maksimiškių street near No. 5, a Ford Focus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Ford (28 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
