On Friday, 14 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Ateities highway, at the junction with Taikos avenue, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Picnic and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Toyota (31 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
